In March, we hosted a trio of lovely girls on a roadtrip to Byron Bay. Led by photographer Amber Minto, the girls made The Lily Pad their base for a few days of girl talk, picnics and of course, photography.
Day 1: Drive from Sydney to Port Macquarie, via the sand dunes at Port Stephens.
Day 2: Port Macquarie to Byron Bay, checking into The Lily Pad in the afternoon. Head straight to the beach for swimming and sun.
Day 3: Make the pilgrimage to the Cape Byron Lighthouse at sunrise. Take a dip at the beach. Picnic under the Poinciana at The Lily Pad.
Day 4: Breakfast at The Farm at Byron Bay, followed by a walk to visit the animals. Chickens. Pigs. Cows. Afternoon swim at Clark’s Beach. Night-time photography at The Lily Pad.
Day 5: Time to play with the drone, capturing aerial pictures of The Lily Pad and surrounding gardens. Back to the beach for more H2O therapy.
Day 6: Heading home via Bellingen and Dorrigo National Park. Spectacular scenery makes for great pictures.
Amber says, “I’ve always loved taking photos and once I decided I was going to be a photographer I never looked back. I spend most of my time shooting landscapes, but also have a passion for portraiture. I studied photography throughout my senior years of high school and completed my diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging at Billy Blue Design College.”
